In many ways this is one of  the most difficult projects I have yet to produce. Certainly not because of any difficulties with the artist himself, becuse I am fortunate to count Dr. Baret as a close personal friend. But perhaps because of that, I have made an extra effort to provide the visitor the best possible representation of his amazing work.

First there is the metaphysical nature of his work.  Dr. Baret has said that he has a unique ability to view the "light" emmanating from a sculpture in a way that others can not.  His perceptions and ultimate portrayal of the subjects have great depth and are difficult to articulate in written word.  It would be helpful for any interested party to speak personally with Dr. Baret so that he can explain, in his own words, the depth of an individual work. Perhaps we should consider a podcast or short video at some later date.

Then there is the work, itself. Bronze is a three dimensional medium. Being homogeneous in colour, it is difficult to represent in pictures in the way that a person standing in front of the actual work would view it. His works truly are exceptional. The emotion, expressed in movement and facial expressions is almost overwhelming.

So I fear, dear reader, that my attempts in this site may fall far short of demonstrating the brilliance of this artist.  I can only ask that if you are interested in the work and want to know more you please contact us for more information.
